Colibri Soli is a Chicago circus-theater company founded by established Chicago performers, with Jeff Award–winning work among the credits. Two soloists, one company: full-length and short-form works where aerial technique carries the story — plus featured acts and workshops that travel anywhere.
Colibri Soli makes theater that happens to fly. Founded in Chicago by two working soloists — established Chicago performers whose credits include Joseph Jefferson Award–winning theater and professional aerial practice — the company builds narrative-first circus-theater: evening-length works, festival sets, and commissioned pieces in which aerial and physical technique do the dramatic lifting. The name is the mission: colibri, the hummingbird, the smallest body doing the most precise flying; soli, more than one soloist. Deliberately small and built to travel, Colibri Soli also brings featured aerial acts to events and galas, and teaches devising, physical storytelling, and aerial fundamentals in schools and studios — based in Chicago, available across the Midwest.
