Circus theater · Chicago

Stories told at altitude.

Colibri Soli is a circus-theater company founded by established Chicago performers — professional aerial, Jeff Award–winning work among the credits. Two soloists, one company, making work where the drama is in the air and the air has a script.

Who we are

Two soloists.
One impossible bird.

Most circus is spectacle first. Most theater stays on the ground. Colibri Soli was founded on the conviction that the two belong in the same body: full-length and short-form works where aerial technique carries narrative weight — built by artists with real credentials in both crafts.

We are a deliberately small company. Two founders, decades of combined stage time, and a repertoire designed to travel light and land big — in theaters, festivals, ballrooms, parks, and classrooms.

Colibri — the hummingbird: the only bird that can hover, the smallest body doing the most precise flying. Soli — more than one soloist. That's us.

How it works

Inquire

Tell us the date, venue, audience, and budget range. A ceiling height helps too.

Proposal

Act options, a quote, and our technical needs — in plain language, not rider-speak.

Advance

Contract, certificate of insurance, rigging plan, and music/cueing — all confirmed before load-in.

Show day

We arrive early, rig safe, run clean, and leave the space better than we found it.
